ALFARA DE LA BARONIA

- DESCRIPTION
Located in the northwest of the region, in the valley of the Palancia River, the river divides the area into two halves, with the town on the right.
The Church of San Agustín Obispo, the town's patron saint, the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Afligidos and the Cistern are a must-see. There are also remains of pottery from various periods in the town.
The most characteristic mountains are Picaio, Costera and the popularly known as Muntanyeta de l'Ermita, at the foot of which the town's houses are located. With a Mediterranean climate, the mountainous area is full of pine trees, thyme and rosemary.
